Executive Coaching

Why Coaching at work?

Thinking creates everything we do, and every experience we have.  This is not always obvious.

Senior people often have:

  • Colossal workloads

  • Critical working relationships

  • Challenging feedback & criticism

  • Heavy demands on their time

  • Difficulty with maintaining focus and attention

  • Difficulty with communicaing effectively

With so much going on, the capacity of any one person’s conscious mind is just not great enough.

Do call us if we can help

The Value:

It is genuinely difficult to track our thinking and choice-making processes at the same time as we work through our experiences.  This is because the bandwidth and capacity of our working memory or attention is limited. It has nothing to do with intelligence, qualifications or past experience.

Add to that the emotional or feelings aspects of experience, which are inseparable from our thinking and choosing.  Emotions are the involuntary drivers of our critical reactions, and a key source of what troubles us most of the time.

As we realize this, the value of having someone share the load and help monitor the process part becomes clear.

This is what an effective Coach does.

Our Approach:

At times in companies, we are working to objectives of both the individual, and of their department or manager, and these two sets of objectives, although naturally dovetailed together, may be monitored and reviewed separately.

It is common that personal objectives agreed between the Executive and the Coach are kept confidential and not shared with their employers.

  • Co-formulate objectives that are ambitious as well as defining an action plan to eliminate psychological and emotional problems that hinder efficiency.

  • Build the ability to maintain a winning mindset throughout life, despite unforeseen and unpredictable circumstances.

  • A five-stage formal objective setting, coaching intervention, monitoring, review and evaluation process which may also include an HR representative where required.

The number and frequency of sessions are defined according to objectives.

Benefits:

  • Rapid relief of pressure
